Healing Modalities for the Mind, Body and Spirit

"Light of Balance & Harmony

What is in balance and surrounded by harmony heals the mind body and spirit"

Reiki Therapy

Reiki is classified as an energy therapy. Energy therapies are based on the belief that disturbances in energy fields in and around the body result in illness, and that improving the flow and balance of energy can improve health and well-being. Reiki is based on the idea that energy is transmitted through the Reiki practitioner from a universal energy source to the client to raise or improve the flow of the client’s ki, or life-force energy. The Reiki practitioner may also remove negative energy from the client, again by acting as a conduit. Reiki energy is considered to be a spiritual practice, although it doesn’t appear to require the client to follow a particular belief system. Divine in origin, it allows us all to become one with all things alive in our world. Reiki is pure unconditional love and joy bringing all who experience; and embrace it principles together in harmony.

Sound Therapy

Singing bowl therapy dates back to the 12th century and has been used for meditation and rituals in Tibetan culture. Metal bowls produce a deep, penetrating sound that’s used to relax and repair the mind. A 2016 study found that singing bowl meditation reduced stress, anger, depression, and fatigue. All of these things are known to impact physical health and raise the risk for disease, suggesting that singing bowl therapy may be good for your physical, as well as emotional, well-being.

Tuning fork therapy uses calibrated metal tuning forks to apply specific vibrations to different parts of the body. This can help release tension and energy and promote emotional balance. It works similarly to acupuncture, using sound frequencies for point stimulation instead of needles. There is some research suggesting that tuning fork therapy may help relieve muscle and bone pain.

Some of the benefits of sound healing include:

Lowers stress

Decreases mood swings

Lowers blood pressure

Lowers cholesterol levels

Teaches pain management

Lowers risk for coronary artery disease and stroke

Improves sleep

Aromatherapy

If you have ever enjoyed the scent of a rose, you’ve experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. These naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. Essential oils give plants their distinctive smells, essential oils protect plants and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and their beautiful fragrance, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health-care practices.

But what exactly is a volatile aromatic compound? In short, these compounds are small organic molecules that tend to change quickly from their solid or liquid state to a gas at room temperature. They are called volatile because they change state quickly. When you first open a bottle of essential oil, you instantly notice that the aroma is potent and you can smell it typically even from some distance. The physical and chemical properties of the volatile aromatic compounds that compose essential oils allow them to quickly move through the air and directly interact with the olfactory sensors in the nose. Such unique properties make essential oils ideal for applications inclusion in aromatherapy – using these compounds from plants to help maintain a healthy mind and body – as well as other applications. The type of volatile aromatic compounds present in an essential oil determines both the oil’s aroma and the benefits it offers.

Over 3,000 varieties of volatile aromatic compounds have been identified to date. The nature of an essential oil varies from plant to plant, within botanical families, and from species to species. The delicate ratio of aromatic constituents found in any given essential oil are what make it unique and give it specific benefits.

Even with pure essential oils the composition of the oil can vary depending on the time of day, season, geographic location, method and duration of distillation, year grown, and the weather, making every step of the production process a critical determinant of the overall quality of the essential oil product.

Essential oils can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used as single essential oils or in complex essential oil blends depending on user experience and desired benefit. Want to learn how to use essential oils? Home Cleansing

Our homes and businesses are just like our bodies, they can get heavy energy trapped in them from time to time.  Cleansing the space is changing the frequency or vibration of the area. This then creates the energy to change or shift and therefore we feel and perceive the space to feel “lighter” or more “free” or more “relaxing”. This is recommended for anyone and should be done on a regular basis.
